What can I configure and request here?

Nine CNC machining process builders: CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling & tapping, precision grinding, wire EDM, laser cutting, CNC punching, chemical etching, and a made-to-drawing custom CNC machining builder. You pick the process and the metal, set the geometry and specifications, preview the part in 3D, and submit an RFQ.

Which metals are available?

Aluminum 6061 and 7075, stainless steel 304 and 316, carbon steel, alloy and tool steels, brass, copper, titanium, tungsten, molybdenum, Invar/Kovar, nickel alloys such as Inconel, and named custom alloys. The 3D model is rendered in the real color of the selected metal.

Does the 3D preview reflect my exact dimensions?

Yes. Size, thickness, shape, holes, slots and machined features update the model live. Specification-only values such as tolerances, surface finish and quantity are recorded in the RFQ summary rather than drawn.

Can I attach a drawing to my request?

Yes. The RFQ form accepts PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP/STP, IGES/IGS, PNG and JPG drawings. Archives and unrelated files are rejected. Your 3D configuration and specification summary are attached automatically.

Is pricing shown?

No. This tool produces an engineering specification and RFQ for review; pricing is quoted separately after the engineering team confirms manufacturability.

What this free drawing tool does

Most people who need one machined part do not have a CAD seat. They have a sketch on paper, a measurement in a text message, or a photo of the part that broke. A machine shop cannot quote any of that reliably, and the back-and-forth to turn it into something manufacturable is where small jobs stall.

This tool closes that gap. It runs entirely in the browser, so there is nothing to download, no license and no account. You get two builders that work together: a 3D model builder to settle the shape and the material, and a 2D drawing builder that produces the drawing sheet a shop actually needs — dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, notes and a title block — which you can export as a PDF or a DXF.

Nothing you draw is uploaded until you choose to submit it. The drawing lives in your own browser, so export it before you close the tab.

This is a real drafting environment, not a shape editor. It follows the drawing standards a machinist expects to read.

Dimensions that behave like real CAD

Linear, aligned, diameter, radius and angular dimensions, with prefixes, suffixes, value overrides and tolerances. Aligned dimensions follow slanted faces and chamfers at their true angle, and every placed dimension can be dragged and stretched without changing the measured value.

GD&T and surface specification

Feature control frames for all fourteen ASME Y14.5 characteristics, material condition modifiers, datum feature symbols, ISO 1302 surface texture symbols and AWS A2.4 weld symbols.

Proper sheets and title blocks

ISO A4 to A0 and ANSI A to D sheets, zone markers, first or third angle projection, a default tolerance stack, revision table, item table and numbered engineering notes.

CAD layers and line types

Visible, hidden, center, dimension, annotation, section, hatch and construction layers, each with its own line type, line weight, color and plot setting.

Snapping and typed coordinates

Endpoint, midpoint, center, quadrant, intersection and perpendicular snaps, inference guides on the axes and 45 degree steps, and a command line that accepts absolute, relative and polar coordinates.

Exports your supplier can use

A scaled PDF sheet for reading and printing, an SVG for the web, and a DXF that opens in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, FreeCAD or any other CAD package with layers and line types intact.

Chemical Etching
Configure photochemically etched metal parts with etched channels, openings, cavities and fine patterns — no mechanical force, burrs or induced stress.
CNC Drilling & Tapping

How to build your drawing, step by step

About ten minutes end to end. If you would rather be shown, press Guide in the toolbar for a walkthrough you can skip at any point.

  1. Choose the machining process

    Select the process that will make the part. Each one loads its own 3D model and asks only for the parameters that matter to it, so you are never filling in fields that do not apply.

  2. Set the material and geometry

    Enter the dimensions, choose the metal, and add holes, pockets or profile features. The preview updates as you type and renders each metal in its real color, so the picture is a sanity check on the numbers.

  3. Switch to the 2D drawing builder

    Press 2D DRAWING in the toolbar to open a full drafting sheet. The title block arrives pre-filled from the process and material you already picked.

  4. Draw and dimension the part

    Draw the outline with lines, arcs, circles, splines, chamfers and fillets, then dimension it. Aligned dimensions measure slanted faces at their true angle, and diameter and radius dimensions measure the full interval with a terminator at each end.

  5. Add tolerances, notes and the title block

    Add GD&T feature control frames, datum symbols, surface finish symbols and numbered engineering notes, then complete the title block with the drawing number, revision, scale and projection angle.

  6. Export the drawing or send it for a quote

    Download a correctly scaled PDF sheet or a DXF that opens in any CAD package, or submit the specification for a manufacturability review and a quote.
